What are the responsibilities and job description for the Wholesale Account Executive position at Retrofête?

We are looking a West Coast Account Executive for Retrofete and Seroya to join our team! This position will be responsible for managing and growing sales across both brands, working with a mix of specialty boutiques and major retail accounts.
Responsibilities:
- Represent Retrofete and Seroya during showroom market appointments, trade shows, and on-the-road sales visits.
- Manage a portfolio of specialty and major accounts (e.g., department stores, online retailers), ensuring each brand's positioning is upheld.
- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with buyers, acting as a brand ambassador and strategic partner with a goal to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Plan and lead showroom appointments and product presentations, tailored to each account’s unique business needs
- Analyze historical sales data, sell-through reports, market trends, and client feedback to drive strategic assortment recommendations.
- Collaborate with brands to align market feedback with future collections.
- Manage the full sales cycle: order writing, confirmations, tracking, delivery follow-up, and reorders.
- Schedule and conduct road appointments as needed – must be comfortable with travel and have a valid driver’s license.
- Organize and support product knowledge sessions, trunk shows, and seasonal events
- Proactively identify new business opportunities within assigned territories and develop strategies to open new doors.
- Monitor the competitive landscape to stay ahead of market trends.
- Monitor account performance and support customers with merchandising insights and reorder opportunities.
- Maintain accurate records and reporting in wholesale platforms such as Joor, NuOrder, and Excel. Netsuite a plus.
- Assist with showroom set-up, sample organization, and special projects.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of showroom and/or fashion wholesale experience.
- Proven track record of managing both specialty boutiques and major retail accounts.
- Experience working in a multi-brand showroom or with in-house fashion brands.
- Proven ability to drive business, open new accounts, and grow brand visibility.
- Strong knowledge of the contemporary and/or luxury fashion market.
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills; confident in client-facing settings.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills with attention to detail.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Joor, NuOrder, and/or similar sales platforms.
- Self-starter with a strategic mindset and a team-oriented attitude.
- Must be willing to travel for tradeshows and on-the-road appointments; valid driver’s license required

Salary : $75,000 - $95,000
