Position Profile: Receptionist at Retirement Income Solutions

Retirement Income Solutions is a locally owned, independent Registered Investment Advisor based in Ann Arbor, Michigan. The firm was founded over 30 years ago with the core belief that client relationships should be built upon a foundation of unparalleled trust, integrity, and personalized service. The team is led by industry veterans who have extensive backgrounds building and developing exceptional relationships and our proactive management approach offers customized investment strategies for over 1,200 clients representing over $3 billion in assets. We have developed a team of more than thirty financial professionals and are seeking to add an amazing Receptionist to our growing team.

This Receptionist position is a crucial role that is vital to our firm’s success. The primary responsibilities in this position are to create a warm and welcoming environment for clients and other visitors and to perform clerical tasks to support our Wealth Advisor Teams. This work includes greeting clients and guests, answering phones and transferring calls to team members, scheduling meetings, sorting mail, distributing packages, and assisting with various projects. Strong attention to detail and the ability to multi-task and enter information quickly and accurately is of the utmost importance. Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, and Outlook) is required, and a minimum of five years of reception or service/administrative support experience is a plus.

The ideal candidate will have five to ten years of experience providing reception or administrative support to a broker or Financial Advisor. This person must be friendly and welcoming, disciplined and well organized, take ownership and display follow-through, have strong oral and written communication skills, and have the ability to prioritize and resolve issues in a fast-paced environment. This person must also work well in a team environment, have strong customer service skills, and a passion for delivering a superior customer experience at all times.

 

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s Degree

· 5 years of administrative/operational support experience (Finance industry preferred)

· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Applications

· Issue prioritization skills

· Excellent communication skills

· Strong customer service skills

· Ability to work independently and take initiative

· Friendly and welcoming personality

 

Position Responsibilities

· Answer/transfer phone calls in an inviting/welcoming manner

· Schedule and coordinate meetings for Wealth Advisor teams

· Greet clients in person, including serving refreshments and guiding to conference areas

· Prepare and draft ad-hoc reports

· Complete project requests on demand

· Participate in company meetings

· Place office supply orders on an ongoing basis

· Coordinate firm-wide lunch orders

· Note: This position does not allow for remote work. Receptionist must be on site at home office in Ann Arbor, MI

Salary : $40,000 - $45,000
