Regional Clinic Manager

Overview

Retina Consultants of Texas (RCTX) is seeking a motivated individual who will represent our practice to patients in the Regional Clinic Manager capacity. The Regional Clinical Manager (“RCM”) is responsible for the efficiency and success of daily clinical operations related to a patient-centric experience. The RCM position includes staffing, education, coaching and mentoring clinic managers and staff, as well as clinical responsibilities in quality assurance.  The RCM must be able to travel to various clinics, communicate effectively, and be highly organized to work in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Collaboratively works with Director of Clinical Operations to update and maintain clinical policies and procedures
• Assess and maintain staffing numbers for recruitment needs
• Assists with the interview process of new staff and the internal promotion process for tenured staff
• Plan and maintain all clinic staffing, providing direct patient care as required to support clinic flow.
• Provides support for payroll processing
• Ensure employees receive compliance training and education necessary to perform their responsibilities; monitor employee performance and take necessary action as needed
• Working with Director of Clinical Operations to ensure competency of clinical staff through evaluation of skills and annual competency
• Achieve and/or improve clinical staff development to include the documentation and communication of development plans
• Partner with Training Coordinator to develop training programs as needed
• Participates in employee clinical evaluation process including the annual performance review process
• Assists Director of Clinical Operations to manage and maintain OSHA policies, procedures, and manuals
• Partners with IT to schedule all preventative maintenance on covered instrumentation.
• Partners with IT to troubleshoot malfunctioning equipment and call repair companies as necessary.
• Assist the Director of Operations with all other duties as required
• Performs other tasks as required.

Qualifications

Skills/Competencies:

• Working knowledge in a clinical/healthcare environment, ophthalmology and retina experience preferred
• Certification OSC, COA, COT or COMT required
• Employee management and leadership experience
• Working knowledge of MS Office Suite and Practice Management platforms, preferably NexTech, Phresia, NextGen
• Understanding of ICD-10
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, decision-making, detail-oriented and organizational skills
• Ability to multi-task, work well in a team dynamic as well as independently
• Working knowledge of all aspects regarding ophthalmic care.
• Excellent written and oral communication.
• Demonstrated skills in motivating and training professional staff.
• Management of multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organization with attention to detail.
• Demonstrated computer literacy.

Education Requirements

• High School diploma required
• College degree preferred.
• Certification OSC, COA, COT or COMT required or to be obtained in first year of role

Experience Requirements:

• Five years’ experience in a clinical supervisory role preferred
