What You'll Do

As a Medical Assistant, you'll play an important role in delivering exceptional patient care by assisting our physicians and ensuring each patient has a positive experience throughout their visit.

Responsibilities include:

  • Prepare patients for ophthalmic examinations and procedures.
  • Obtain and document medical histories, current medications, symptoms, and previous eye treatments.
  • Perform ophthalmic testing, including visual acuity, applanation tonometry, and administration of prescribed eye drops.
  • Accurately document patient information while maintaining confidentiality and compliance with healthcare regulations.
  • Prepare and sanitize exam rooms between patients using proper infection control procedures.
  • Monitor and replenish clinical supplies to maintain an efficient workflow.
  • Communicate professionally with patients, providers, and team members.
  • Contribute to a collaborative environment focused on delivering outstanding patient care.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Medical Assistant certification is preferred but not required.
  • Previous healthcare experience is a plus; however, we are willing to train a motivated individual with a strong work ethic and a passion for patient care.
Physical Requirements
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
  • Manual dexterity to perform detailed clinical tasks using specialized instruments.
  • Ability to lift and move medical equipment and supplies as needed.
Travel Requirements

Training will take place in our Salem clinic. After completing training, you'll join a rotating team that provides support at our satellite locations in Albany, Corvallis, and Newberg. Travel is typically required one to two days per week, and all travel time and mileage are reimbursed according to company policy.

Our physicians are Board Certified and Fellowship-trained medical and surgical retina specialists dedicated to providing exceptional patient care using the latest advances in retinal medicine.
In addition to comprehensive retinal care, we offer access to innovative clinical trials, giving eligible patients the opportunity to participate in research that helps shape the future of retinal treatments. We also provide photobiomodulation (light) therapy as a treatment option for select retinal conditions, allowing patients access to cutting-edge technologies alongside established standards of care.

Salary : $25 - $34
