What are the responsibilities and job description for the Ophthalmic Technician/Medical Assistant position at Retina Associates New Orleans?

We are seeking all levels of experienced ophthalmic assistants, medical assistants, technicians, and technologists to assist our vitreoretinal surgeons in the clinical and surgical care of patients.
This position involves patient assessments, taking history, taking visual acuity and eye pressures, performing diagnosis testing such as OCT, fundus photos, visual fields, angiography, and others.
Excellent oral and written communication skills are a must.
Compassion and empathy are expected at all times.
Applicants get the opportunity to travel to some of our multiple locations and will receive travel stipend.
