Registered Nurse (RN)
Retina Associates, LLC is looking for a full time day shift RN to work in our clinics! We are a sub-specialty ophthalmology medical practice treating diseases and surgeries of the retina, vitreous, and macula and are dedicated to serving the needs of our patients. We're looking for a candidate highly dedicated to patients and supporting physicians and peers, who exhibits strong IV skills and knowledge of EMR systems. Training provided.
Responsibilities
- Communicate with physicians, referring physicians, and other medical professionals.
- Good understanding of retina practice (training provided) and patient care.
- Perform compliant and complete patient work up in a timely manner.
- Create and contribute to patients' medical records.
- Collaborate with clinical team in patient testing and treatment.
- Administration of medication, including IV procedures under direction of the physician.
- Respond to inquiries, concerns and complaints from patients and their families/guardians.
- Demonstrate excellence in management, leadership and organizational skills.
- Schedule patient appointments.
- Administrative duties for clinic- including surgery scheduling, completing FMLA paperwork, and triaging patient calls.
- Some travel is required between clinic locations.
Skills
- Associate's or Bachelor's Degree in Nursing required. KS & MO licenses.
- 1 years' nursing experience preferably in a hospital or specialty clinic setting.
- Excellent patient care and communication skills.
- Working knowledge of laws and regulations.
- Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records.
