Job description
We are looking to fill an immediate position for a Test Technician 1 to primarily test the performance of Solar Modules using laboratory test equipment. We are looking for a team player with a positive attitude who is interested in growing their knowledge and takes pride in their output. The ability to consciously improve daily processes and effectiveness is a must. Resourcefulness and the ability to take direction and work with and without direct supervision is key.
Title: Test Technician 1 (Temporary 3-6 months; May turn to Permanent)–
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Daily calibration of test equipment
- Accurately testing the performance of Solar Modules using an IV Flash Tester
- Testing and complying by IEC and UL Test and safety standards
- Lifting and handling solar modules up to 50-60 lbs
- completing projects and tests assigned daily by team leader
- Daily and accurate recording of test results
QUALIFICATIONS
- high school graduate
- some college preferred
- computer literate - proficient in Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Office, and other desktop applications.
- good organization skills, attention to detail and good oral communication skills.
- experience in test laboratory atmosphere with mechanical or electrical background is beneficial but not required.
- This is an entry level position with many opportunities for advancement.
