What are the responsibilities and job description for the Sales Associate - Retail (1+ year exp required) position at Retail Store?
Actively seeking a highly motivated individual with great customer service skills to join our small privately owned retail shop.
Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):
- General clerical duties (Includes the operation of a POS register system)
- Providing excellent customer service
- Answering phone calls
- Stocking shelves and always maintaining inventory
- General upkeep of the store (sweeping, dusting, cleaning, etc.)
Physical demands:
- Constant movement and standing for prolonged periods of time
- Occasional heavy lifting (In general, no more than 40 lbs.)
- Climbing step stools and ladders to reach for items
Required Skills:
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to maintain a friendly, positive, and enthusiastic attitude when dealing with customers
- Ability to effectively multi-task
- Ability and willingness to learn about a variety of different products. This is necessary to provide recommendations and advice to customers.
*Previous retail/customer service experience preferred
