Key Responsibilities
- Serve as a key clinical provider in the delivery of high-quality care.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments including history taking and physical examinations.
- Order and interpret lab results and other diagnostic tests
- Create and oversee individualized treatment plans.
- Provide clear communication and education to patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive strategies.
- Maintain thorough and accurate documentation within the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system.
- Collaborate with referring physicians, specialists, and care teams to ensure seamless patient care.
- Provide clinical oversight to nurses, technologists, and support staff within the practice.
- Stay compliant with HIPAA, NYS DOH, CMS, and relevant payer guidelines.
- Participate in population health initiatives and support ongoing quality improvement projects.
- Contribute to the development of a sustainable patient panel aligned with practice growth objectives.
- Medical Degree (MD or DO) with active or eligible board certification in Internal Medicine.
- Licensed (or eligible for licensure) in New York State.
- Strong diagnostic, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Team-oriented with a patient-centered approach to care.
- Familiarity with EMRs and value-based care metrics is a plus.
