Overview

Are you passionate about visual presentation and retail excellence? We are seeking energetic and detail-oriented Merchandisers to join our team on a part-time basis, working 28 hours per week with immediate start dates available! In this dynamic role, you will execute resets with planograms. You will work on a team with about 17 people and a team lead.If you thrive in fast-paced settings, possess a keen eye for design, and enjoy working hands-on with retail spaces, this opportunity is perfect for you! The locations for this team are as follows: Emerson NJ, Hillsdale NJ, Ramsey NJ, Wallington NJ, Northvale NJ, Paramus NJ, Pearl River NY & West Nyack NY. The team does 2 stores per week.

Duties

• Implement and maintain planograms to optimize product placement and presentation across multiple retail locations
• Assist with stock replenishment, inventory control, and manual handling of materials to ensure shelves are fully stocked and organized
• Use mobile devices to update inventory records, capture store images, and communicate with team members effectively
• Support store remodeling projects by assisting with interior design adjustments, visual merchandising updates, and schematic layouts
• Operate material handling equipment safely for heavy lifting and stock movement while adhering to safety protocols such as ladder use
• Provide excellent customer service by engaging with shoppers, answering questions about products, and enhancing their overall shopping experience
• Maintain cleanliness of the store environment by performing routine cleaning tasks and ensuring all displays are tidy and inviting

Skills

• Supervising experience in retail or merchandising environments is highly desirable
• Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Illustrator for creating visual displays or promotional materials
• Strong understanding of marketing principles and branding strategies to enhance store appeal
• Multilingual skills to communicate effectively with diverse customer bases and team members
• Knowledge of schematics, planogram implementation, and visual design principles for effective product placement
• Experience in store management, training & development of team members, or leadership roles within retail settings
• Ability to operate POS systems for sales transactions and cash handling accurately
• Excellent organizational skills with attention to detail in inventory management and stock control
• Effective communication skills for client interaction, team collaboration, and reporting
• Familiarity with retail sales techniques, pricing strategies, and merchandising standards
• Basic math skills for inventory counts, pricing adjustments, and sales calculations
• Ability to operate mobile devices efficiently for communication and record keeping
• Knowledge of safety procedures including ladder use and manual handling equipment operation
• Strong time management skills to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment

Pay: $16.00 - $16.25 per hour
