Responsibilities
- Greet customers warmly, assess their needs, and provide personalized product recommendations based on their preferences and experience levels
- Conduct engaging product demos to educate customers about different strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories
- Manage retail sales transactions accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems, including cash handling and cash drawer balancing
- Assist with stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize visual appeal and accessibility
- Perform upselling by suggesting complementary products and promotions to enhance customer satisfaction and sales volume
- Maintain comprehensive knowledge of store products, including effects, dosages, and consumption methods to answer customer questions confidently
- Ensure compliance with all legal regulations regarding cannabis sales, age verification, and record keeping
Skills
- Proven experience in retail sales or cashiering, preferably in a dispensary or related industry
- Strong communication skills with the ability to connect with diverse customers; bilingual abilities are a plus
- Excellent phone etiquette for handling inquiries professionally over the phone or via messaging platforms
- Demonstrated supervising experience or leadership skills in a retail environment is desirable
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling, retail math calculations, and inventory management
- Knowledge of POS systems and retail store operations including stock management and merchandising techniques
- Exceptional customer service skills with a friendly attitude and professional demeanor
- Ability to educate customers through product demos while adhering to all safety guidelines and legal requirements
