Responsibilities
- Provide personalized product recommendations and conduct product demos to educate customers about various cannabis strains, edibles, concentrates, and accessories.
- Assist customers in selecting products that meet their needs, preferences, and experience levels, ensuring a positive shopping experience.
- Operate the POS (Point of Sale) system accurately for retail sales transactions, including cash handling and cash drawer management.
- Maintain stock levels by stocking shelves, organizing displays, and merchandising products to maximize sales potential.
- Upsell additional products or accessories to enhance customer satisfaction and increase sales revenue.
- Handle retail store operations such as cashiering, processing transactions efficiently, and adhering to all cash register procedures.
- Demonstrate excellent phone etiquette when answering inquiries or taking orders remotely, ensuring clear communication at all times.
- Support inventory management by conducting stock counts and assisting with product demos to educate customers on new items.
- Ensure compliance with all state regulations regarding cannabis sales and retail store policies.
- Foster a welcoming environment through effective communication skills, active listening, and maintaining a professional demeanor at all times.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in retail sales or customer service is highly preferred; supervising experience is a plus.
- Bilingual abilities are advantageous for serving diverse customer bases effectively.
- Familiarity with POS systems, cash register operations, and retail math is essential for smooth transactions.
- Strong communication skills and excellent phone etiquette are necessary for engaging with customers confidently.
- Knowledge of cannabis products, merchandising techniques, and retail store product knowledge is beneficial.
- Ability to perform basic math accurately for cash handling and sales calculations.
- Experience in product demos or upselling strategies to enhance customer engagement and sales performance.
- Must be at least 21 years old (or as mandated by local laws) with a clean background check where applicable.
