The Opportunity
Our client is a leading venture platform at the intersection of real estate, technology, and innovation. They operate a flagship industry accelerator program that connects high-growth PropTech and real estate technology companies with enterprise corporate partners, driving pilots, partnerships, and measurable revenue outcomes at scale.
They are seeking a strategic, relationship-driven Platform Director to lead a portfolio of companies through their signature program, own a network of corporate partner relationships, and source new investment opportunities. This is a high-impact, highly visible role for a builder who thrives at the intersection of business development, venture, and enterprise partnerships.
Location: Hybrid / Downtown Chicago - 3 days a week.
Core Responsibilities
- Company Sourcing & Investment Pipeline: Source and evaluate new companies for the accelerator program and potential investment; manage opportunities from sourcing through close.
- Accelerator Program Leadership: Lead a portfolio of companies through a 6-month program spanning value proposition refinement, GTM and pricing strategy, pilot and partnership development, mentor introductions, showcase coordination, and milestone tracking.
- Portfolio Company Support: Provide ongoing strategic support for core portfolio companies focused on partnerships and revenue growth; deliver quarterly updates and collect case studies and testimonials.
- Corporate Partnerships & Business Development: Own a portfolio of 50–100 partner organizations; actively prioritize 5–10 key C-suite relationships at any given time, reassessing quarterly based on innovation appetite, budget authority, pilot readiness, and strategic alignment.
- Network Expansion: Add approximately 2 new partner organizations per month; maintain engagement cadence and ensure alignment with strategic network priorities.
- Reporting & Operations: Log all activity in CRM and internal systems; track realized revenue and outcomes; contribute to case studies, annual platform report, and firm fundraising efforts.
- Industry Representation: Represent the firm at conferences and partner events; build relationships across the real estate technology ecosystem and surface emerging trends and opportunities.
Candidate Profile
- Experience: 5–10 years in PropTech, real estate technology, venture, corporate innovation, or enterprise partnerships and business development.
- Relationship Builder: Proven track record owning and growing C-suite relationships at large enterprise organizations; comfortable navigating complex, multi-stakeholder environments.
- GTM Fluency: Deep understanding of go-to-market strategy, enterprise sales cycles, and pilot and partnership development for early- and growth-stage technology companies.
- Operator Mentality: Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously, prioritize effectively, and deliver measurable outcomes with a high degree of ownership and accountability.
- Systems-Oriented: Comfortable working within CRM platforms, reporting frameworks, and data-driven accountability structures; strong written and verbal communication skills.
Compensation & Benefits
In accordance with pay transparency standards, a competitive compensation package will be offered, including:
- Base salary up to $150,000 annually, depending on experience
