What are the responsibilities and job description for the Construction Project Manager position at Resurrection Pools?
POSITION OVERVIEW
As the Construction Project Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing multiple projects simultaneously and serving as the worksite representative for dealings with subcontractors, suppliers, customers, and inspectors. The construction manager will ensure compliance with all national and local procedures, regulations, and codes, and will provide progress updates to appropriate management channels on a regular basis.
ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Overseeing a specific construction project and leading the construction team to success.
Perform a variety of daily construction tasks at the direction of leadership.
Collaborate with engineers, architects etc. to determine the specifications of the project
Negotiate contracts with external vendors to reach profitable agreements
Obtain permits and licenses from appropriate authorities
Determine needed resources from start to finish with attention to budgetary limitations
Plan all construction operations and schedule intermediate phases to ensure deadlines will be met
Acquire equipment and material and monitor stocks to timely handle inadequacies
Hire contractors and other staff and allocate responsibilities
Supervise the work of laborers, mechanics etc. and give them guidance when needed
Evaluate progress and prepare detailed reports, providing regular updates to leadership and clients.
Ensure adherence to all health and safety standards and report issues
Clean and prepare the construction site as needed, including removing hazardous materials and debris from the worksite.
Operating equipment and heavy machinery used in construction sites.
Loading and unloading building materials.
Assisting in the plumbing of pools and hot tubs.
Follow all safety procedures on the job site and report violations immediately to management.
Maintain a safe and clean job site by handling materials and storing them properly, picking up and removing all tools and equipment when not in use, and securing the job site on a daily basis.
Ensure that all work activities are carried out in a safe and efficient manner, and in compliance with government and company PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) standards.
SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Proven working experience in construction management and or construction project management.
Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods.
Skilled in operating basic hand and power tools.
Ability to operate a skid-steer (bobcat) and forklift.
Ability to work independently and stay focused.
Attention to detail and quality workmanship.
Expert knowledge of building products, construction details and relevant rules, regulations and quality standards
Understanding of all facets of the construction process
Ability to plan and see the “big picture”
Competent in conflict and crisis management
Leadership and human resources management skills
Excellent time and project management skills
BS degree in construction management, architecture, engineering or related field
Valid Driver’s License required with a good driving record.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Sitting, Standing, and Walking.
Carrying, pushing, pulling, and lifting 50 lbs.
Working outdoors for prolonged periods of time.
