Responsibilities
- Support teachers in implementing lesson plans across subjects such as literacy education, math, and social-emotional learning.
- Assist with classroom management strategies to promote positive behavior and a safe learning environment.
- Supervise children during classroom activities, recess, lunch, and transitions to ensure safety and engagement.
- Provide individualized support to students with disabilities or special needs, including those with autism or other developmental challenges.
- Fingerprinting, background check is necessary.
- Use educational technologies and computers to enhance learning experiences and track student progress.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student behavior, progress, and classroom events.
- Maintain compliance with educational regulations and ensure adherence to school policies on behavior management and educational standards.
Experience
- Prior experience working with children in educational or childcare settings is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices.
- Experience collaborating with teachers, mentoring students, and supporting individualized education plans (IEPs).
- Familiarity with classroom behavior management techniques and educational compliance requirements.
- Certification in first aid and CPR is advantageous for ensuring student safety.
- Proven ability to communicate clearly and effectively with children, parents, staff, and community members.
