Registered Behavior Technician
Responsibilities:
- Provide personalized (1:1) in-home or in-school Applied Behavioral Analysis (ABA) therapy
- Collect behavior and skill acquisition data during sessions
- Implement behavior reduction interventions and ABA treatment programs
- Conduct discrete trials, naturalistic teaching, and other ABA strategies for skill acquisition
- Assist in the development of client goals and objectives
- Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients
- Effectively collaborate and communicate with a BCBA (Board Certified Behavior Analyst) Supervisor to implement basic principles and teaching procedures of ABA therapy
Requirements:
- Education: High School Diploma or bachelor’s degree (preferred)
- Certification: RBT certification or willingness to obtain within 90 days of hire, CPR certification, satisfactory background check (DECAL, or police dept.)
- Relevant Experience: Childcare, healthcare, or mental health experience (preferred)
- Dependability: Consistency and reliability are essential for a child's success
- Integrity: You are often required to work within the child’s home
- Positivity and Patience: Emphasizing positive reinforcement and repetition is critical for the client’s progress
- Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication in English (Spanish a plus)
- Reliable transportation
Physical Requirements:
We Kindly ask you to keep the following details in mind:
- You should be able to lift 35 pounds.
- The role requires you to demonstrate fine and gross motor skills, including bending, kneeling, squatting, sitting on the floor or in a chair, or standing for periods.
- You should be quick to respond within short distances (100 feet) to the movement and behaviors of children.
- Be willing and able to work in both indoor and outdoor settings.
