Your expertise can help families and businesses take the next step after property damage. RestoreCore is seeking an experienced Restoration Estimator who takes pride in accurate estimates, strong relationships, and helping customers move forward.

In this role, you’ll assess losses, develop detailed scopes of work, and prepare estimates that support successful restoration projects. You’ll typically handle projects valued between $50,000 and $200,000, partnering with Project Managers, Production Coordinators, Business Developers, and field technicians. 

This position does not involve third-party administrator (TPA) program work. You’ll work directly with customers, insurance adjusters, and our internal project teams to develop and negotiate restoration estimates.

What You’ll Do

• Visit damaged properties to assess losses and develop detailed scopes of work.
• Prepare accurate, timely estimates using Xactimate and other platforms required by insurance carriers or third-party administrators.
• Communicate with adjusters, explain and support your estimates, and negotiate scope and pricing.
• Collaborate with Project Managers to review estimates, address scope changes, and support project budget and quality requirements.
• Help customers understand the restoration process and explain emergency service agreements.
• Maintain accurate project updates, estimates, photos, and supporting documentation in DASH.
• Build relationships with customers, referral sources, and industry partners.
• Participate in production meetings and training, and mentor developing estimators.
• Support the on-call rotation and emergency response efforts as assigned.

What You Bring

• Experience estimating property damage restoration projects.
• Working knowledge of construction methods, materials, and repair processes.
• Proficiency with Xactimate and familiarity with other estimating platforms.
• Knowledge of insurance carrier and third-party administrator requirements.
• Confidence communicating and negotiating with adjusters.
• Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple estimates and deadlines.
• A collaborative approach and clear, professional communication with customers and teammates.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Outlook; DASH experience is a plus.

Schedule and Work Environment

This role combines remote office work with site visits. Because disasters can happen at any time, participation in an on-call rotation, after-hours commercial loss response, and extended hours may be required. During major emergency events, you may also deploy with field crews.

Jobsite work may involve bending, stooping, reaching, and exposure to extreme temperatures. The position requires regularly lifting, pushing, or moving up to 50 pounds and occasionally up to 75 pounds. Respirator use and fit testing may be required.
