Join our dedicated mental health team as a Mental Health Therapist, where you will play a vital role in providing comprehensive psychological support and therapeutic services to diverse populations. This dynamic position offers the opportunity to work in outpatient clinics, via telehealth platforms, delivering evidence-based interventions that foster resilience and recovery. As a key member of our team, you will utilize your expertise to assess, diagnose, and treat individuals across a broad spectrum of mental health conditions, ensuring compassionate care that promotes lasting well-being.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough clinical assessments and diagnostic evaluations utilizing ICD-9 and ICD-10 coding systems to determine appropriate treatment plans.
• Provide individual, group, and family therapy sessions employing modalities such as cognitive behavioral therapy, psychodynamic therapy, art therapy, dance therapy, and applied behavior analysis.
• Implement crisis intervention strategies and crisis management protocols to support clients experiencing acute mental health emergencies.
• Facilitate intake processes for new clients, ensuring accurate medical documentation and adherence to HIPAA regulations for patient confidentiality.
• Develop personalized treatment plans incorporating behavioral management techniques, social work principles, and patient care best practices.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including medical professionals, case managers, educators, and family members to coordinate comprehensive care.
• Maintain detailed medical records and documentation of progress notes, treatment outcomes, and clinical research data in compliance with healthcare standards.

Requirements

• Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Social Work, Counseling or related field; licensure or certification as required by state law.
• LPC or LCSW
• Proven experience with psychotherapy modalities such as motivational interviewing, behavioral therapy, psychopharmacology coordination, addiction counseling, grief counseling, PTSD care, and working with individuals with developmental disabilities or autism.
• Strong knowledge of ICD coding (ICD-9/ICD-10), CPT coding for billing purposes, medical terminology, and electronic medical records systems.
• Experience delivering telehealth services using secure platforms; familiarity with HIPAA compliance is essential.
• Ability to manage crisis situations effectively while demonstrating excellent crisis management skills.
• Compassionate approach to working with diverse populations including pediatrics, geriatrics, patients with disabilities or chronic pain conditions.
