Position Summary
Restore Physical Therapy & Rehab is seeking a compassionate, dependable, and motivated Rehab Aide to support our clinical team in delivering exceptional patient care. The Rehab Aide assists Physical Therapists and Physical Therapist Assistants with non-clinical and delegated patient care activities, prepares treatment areas, maintains equipment, and helps ensure the clinic operates efficiently, safely, and professionally.
This position is ideal for individuals interested in healthcare, physical therapy, exercise science, kinesiology, athletic training, nursing, or other allied health professions.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesPatient Support
- Greet and escort patients to treatment areas in a professional and friendly manner.
- Assist patients with basic exercises and therapeutic activities as directed by licensed clinical staff.
- Monitor patients during exercises and promptly report any concerns to the supervising therapist.
- Provide encouragement and support to help patients achieve their rehabilitation goals.
- Assist with patient flow throughout the clinic to help maintain an efficient schedule.
Clinic Operations
- Prepare treatment rooms, tables, and equipment before and after patient sessions.
- Clean and sanitize treatment tables, exercise equipment, and common areas according to clinic protocols.
- Stock supplies and notify management when inventory is low.
- Assist with laundry, organization, and general clinic upkeep.
- Ensure all treatment areas remain safe, clean, organized, and professional at all times.
Administrative Support
- Assist with patient scheduling and appointment reminders as needed.
- Answer phones and direct calls appropriately.
- Assist with patient check-in and check-out procedures.
- Scan, file, and organize clinic documents.
- Support front desk staff during busy periods.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with Physical Therapists, Physical Therapist Assistants, and administrative staff.
- Maintain patient confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
- Participate in staff meetings, training sessions, and ongoing clinic education as needed.
- Demonstrate professionalism, teamwork, reliability, and a positive attitude.
QualificationsRequired
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism at all times.
Preferred
- Previous experience in a healthcare, fitness, or rehabilitation setting.
- Current CPR certification.
- Interest in pursuing a career in physical therapy, healthcare, or a related field.
- Experience with electronic medical records systems.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift throughout the workday.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds.
- Ability to assist with equipment setup and movement.
- Ability to remain active for extended periods.
