We are seeking motivated BHS's & BHP's to deliver services are designed to meet the mental health needs of clients using evidence-based interventions.
Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation (PSR) These services are provided in-home, in-school, or other approved/appropriate community settings designed to reduce disability from mental illness, restore functional skills of daily living, build natural supports, and achieve identified person-centered goals and ongoing monitoring needs as set forth in an individualized treatment plan. Our services are client-centered and family-centered approaches and are delivered through intensive, time-limited, goal specific interventions.
Responsibilities:
- Deliver in-home, in-school, in-community Mental Health Rehabilitation Services.
- Provide Psychosocial Rehabilitation Services (PSR), services designed to assist the individual with compensating for or eliminating functional deficits and interpersonal or environmental barriers associated with mental illness through skill building and supportive interventions to restore and rehabilitate social and interpersonal skills and daily living skills.
- Identify, enhance, and establish support networks, community awareness, coping strategies, and improve functioning in the individual’s social environments (home, work, school).
- Help restore, rehabilitate, and support the development of daily living skills.
- Help improve client’s self-management of the negative effects of psychiatric or emotional symptoms.
- Assists clients in identifying, effectively responding to or avoiding identified precursors (“triggers”) that lead to functional impairments.
- Continually assess client needs, service availability and appropriateness.
- Communicate client’s status on a regular basis, including, but not limited to changes in mood or functioning, medical issues and all crisis and health and safety issues.
- Maintain caseload and well-organized schedule to meet productivity expectations.
- Attend monthly supervision with the clinical director/supervisor and staff meetings for agency communication, clinical consultation and training.
EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:
Behavioral Health Specialist (BHS) requires Bachelor's Degree from an accredited university or college in the field of counseling, social work, psychology, sociology, rehabilitation services, special education, early childhood education, secondary education, family and consumer sciences, criminal justice, or human growth and development. (CAN PROVIDE PSR ONLY)
- Proven experience working as a Behavioral Health Specialist or in a related mental health role.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to build rapport and trust with clients from various backgrounds.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:
- Knowledge of or experience working in behavioral/mental health field through a combination of work experience, internships, or coursework.
- Professional, organized, strict adherence to HIPPA regulations and client safety.
- Flexible to work evenings and weekends as needed.
Hourly PAY Rates:
BHS - $21.50 hourly (Bachelor’s Level) negiotable
