Position Summary
- The Practice Administrator is responsible for the overall operational, financial, human resources, and administrative management of a busy interventional pain management clinic. This position serves as the key leader responsible for ensuring efficient clinic operations, regulatory compliance, employee management, and patient satisfaction. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail-oriented, task-driven, technologically proficient, and possesses strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day operations of a 22-employee interventional pain management practice.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures.
- Manage staffing, scheduling, and workflow efficiency.
- Supervise recruitment, onboarding, training, evaluations, and employee relations.
- Ensure compliance with Kentucky employment laws, HIPAA, OSHA, Medicare, and Medicaid regulations.
- Review employee timesheets and run payroll.
- Monitor budgets, revenue cycle performance, and financial metrics.
- Monitor inventory and place orders for supplies.
- Manage patient satisfaction initiatives and complaint resolution.
- Lead staff meetings and performance improvement initiatives.
- Oversee vendor relationships and facility management.
- Maintain operational excellence and regulatory readiness.
Technology Requirements
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, Teams, PowerPoint, SharePoint) and Athenahealth/AthenaOne EMR. Ability to generate reports, analyze data, and support workflow automation. Proficiency with or willingness to learn ADP MyTotalSource.
Qualifications
- Proficient in Athenahealth (Athenaone) electronic health record and practice management system
- Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources, Healthcare Management, or related field (optional)
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare management experience.
- Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
- Knowledge of Kentucky employment laws and healthcare regulations.
- Experience in specialty medical practices preferred.
Pay: $49,224.17 - $60,000.00 per year
