Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Nurse Practitioner (NP) or higher-level healthcare professional to join our dynamic clinical team. Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including physical examinations and vital signs, to establish accurate diagnoses and treatment plans
- Administer medications, injections, IV infusions, dermal fillers, botulinum toxin treatments, and perform procedures such as suturing and spinal taps with precision and adherence to sterile techniques
- Manage complex cases involving acute pain management, infectious disease care, geriatrics, pediatric care, behavioral health, and hospice & palliative medicine
- Utilize EMR (Electronic Medical Record) systems like Epic, eClinicalWorks, or Cerner for documentation of patient encounters, medical records, CPT coding, ICD-10/ICD-9 coding, and medical documentation standards
- Provide patient education on health coaching topics such as nutrition, medication adherence, and chronic disease management
- Coordinate with specialists in gastroenterology, ophthalmology, cardiology (including cardiac catheterization), and other disciplines for comprehensive care delivery
- Participate in clinical research initiatives and quality improvement projects to advance evidence-based practices
Requirements
- Valid Nurse Practitioner license or higher-level certification (e.g., Physician Assistant with NP credentials) in the relevant state or jurisdiction
- Proven experience working in diverse healthcare settings such as hospitals (Level I Trauma Center or Level II Trauma Center), emergency rooms, ICU/CCU/PICU units, outpatient clinics, or nursing homes
- Demonstrated proficiency with EMR/EHR systems including Epic, Cerner, or Athenahealth; experience with telehealth platforms is a plus
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology, physiology, anatomy, diagnostic evaluation techniques (e.g., sonography), and medication administration protocols
- Skilled in performing procedures such as venipuncture (phlebotomy), catheterization (urinary or vascular), tube feeding management, sterile processing techniques and infection control practices
- Ability to handle complex cases involving trauma care, acute care scenarios including airway management and ventilator support
- Experience working with vulnerable populations such as children (pediatrics), elderly patients (geriatrics), individuals with developmental disabilities or memory care needs
- Familiarity with Workers' Compensation law and utilization review processes; knowledge of CPT coding and ICD coding standards is essential
- Excellent patient assessment skills combined with compassionate communication to ensure optimal patient care outcomes
