Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Dental Assistant to join our team. As a Dental Assistant, you will play a crucial role in assisting the dentist during patient procedures and providing exceptional patient care. This is a full-time position with competitive pay and benefits.
Duties:
- Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations
- Sterilize and disinfect instruments and equipment
- Assist the dentist during dental procedures
- Take and develop dental x-rays
- Record patient medical history and vital signs
- Provide post-operative instructions to patients
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records in electronic systems such as Epic
- Follow proper infection control protocols, including wearing personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality
Skills:
- Proficient in taking vital signs and recording medical documentation
- Experience with dental x-ray procedures and equipment
- Knowledge of infection control protocols in a dental setting
- Familiarity with medical terminology and dental procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate and organized patient records using electronic systems such as Epic
- Strong communication skills to effectively assist patients and collaborate with the dental team
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Completion of an accredited dental assistant program or relevant certification
- Current CPR certification
- Previous experience working as a Dental Assistant is preferred, but not required
