Resting Rainbow of Sarasota is seeking a dependable, compassionate, and professional individual to join our pet aftercare team as a Pet Crematory Transporter / Cremator Assistant. This role is an important part of helping families and veterinary partners during difficult moments with care, dignity, and respect.
Responsibilities
- Pick up deceased pets from veterinary clinics and homes
- Safely transport pets to our facility
- Maintain accurate identification and tracking procedures
- Assist with cremation operations and preparation
- Handle urns, keepsakes, and memorial items carefully
- Clean and maintain vehicles, equipment, and work areas
- Communicate professionally with veterinary staff and pet owners
- Follow all safety and operational procedures
Requirements
- Valid driver’s license with clean driving record
- Ability to lift 50–100 lbs respectfully and safely
- Comfortable working in an emotionally sensitive environment
- Dependable, punctual, and detail-oriented
- Professional appearance and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience in animal care, transport, funeral service, or crematory work is a plus, but not required

Schedule
- 30-40 hours a week
- Weekends and on-call availability is required
