Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and mobility to promote independence and comfort
- Provide companionship and emotional support to reduce feelings of loneliness and enhance quality of life
- Administer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping, meal preparation, and errands as needed
- Monitor clients’ health status and report any changes or concerns to healthcare professionals promptly
- Follow care plans meticulously, ensuring all tasks are completed with compassion and attention to detail
- Maintain accurate documentation of care provided, including daily logs and incident reports
- Uphold safety protocols and infection control standards to ensure a secure environment for clients
Qualifications
- Previous experience in home care, geriatrics, or medical-surgical settings is highly valued
- Strong communication skills with the ability to follow detailed care instructions accurately
- Compassionate attitude with a genuine desire to improve clients’ quality of life
- Ability to handle physically demanding tasks such as lifting or assisting with mobility safely
- Certification in CPR or first aid is preferred but not mandatory; willingness to obtain necessary training is appreciated
