Duties
- Welcome guests warmly as they arrive, providing friendly assistance and guiding them to their tables or reservations
- Manage guest seating arrangements efficiently to optimize flow and minimize wait times
- Handle all cashier responsibilities accurately using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS, including processing payments and issuing receipts
- Answer phone inquiries with professionalism and courtesy, providing information about menus, reservations, or special events
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and cashier area to ensure a welcoming atmosphere
- Assist with guest relations by addressing questions or concerns promptly and courteously
- Support food service staff by coordinating seating and ensuring smooth communication between front-of-house teams
Skills
- Previous host/host experience in a restaurant or hospitality setting is highly preferred
- Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest interactions
- Experience with food service operations and familiarity with restaurant workflows
- Proficiency in using POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS for accurate transactions
- Excellent communication skills, including phone etiquette and guest relations expertise
- Ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently in a lively environment while maintaining professionalism
- Hospitality background or hotel experience is a plus, demonstrating adaptability across guest services roles
