Executive Chef – Steak & Seafood Concept

A new prime steak & seafood dining experience is launching in Elgin, IL. Designed by an award‑winning architecture firm, this concept will feature an indoor/outdoor atmosphere, a full bar, and seating for 150 guests. With projected annual sales of $3.2M, this is a rare opportunity to lead the culinary vision of a flagship restaurant opening in Spring 2026.

The Role

We are seeking an Executive Chef to bring creativity, leadership, and operational excellence to this new concept. The ideal candidate will have a passion for exceptional steak, Italian, and Mediterranean cuisine, with the ability to execute a menu of 35–45 items at a consistently high level.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead kitchen operations, ensuring quality, consistency, and efficiency
• Develop and execute menus featuring prime steak, seafood, and Mediterranean influences
• Oversee dessert and pastry execution as part of the culinary program
• Manage food costs, inventory, and vendor relationships
• Recruit, train, and mentor kitchen staff to uphold brand standards
• Collaborate with leadership on menu innovation and guest experience
• Utilize Microsoft Office, Excel, and Dropbox for operational management

What We’re Looking For

• Proven experience as an Executive Chef or senior culinary leader in upscale dining
• Expertise in steak, seafood, and Mediterranean cuisine
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Ability to balance creativity with operational discipline
• Technological proficiency for menu planning, reporting, and documentation
