What are the responsibilities and job description for the District Sales Manager - B2B New Business Development position at Restaurant Zone Recruiting?
An expanding commercial cleaning and facility services provider is seeking a driven, results-oriented Territory Sales Manager to grow its presence across the premium hospitality industry in the NYC Metro area.
This is a 100% new business development role focused on prospecting, building relationships, and closing commercial cleaning contracts with high-end restaurants, bars, nightclubs, private clubs, hotels, and resorts. The ideal candidate is an experienced B2B sales hunter with an established hospitality network—or a hospitality leader ready to transition into sales by leveraging industry relationships.
This is a field-based position, not a desk job. Success requires frequent in-person prospecting, territory visits, and direct engagement with hospitality decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities
- New Business Development: Identify prospects through cold calling, outreach, networking, and frequent in-person visits.
- Territory Prospecting: Meet restaurant owners, executive chefs, general managers, hotel leaders, and operations directors to generate new opportunities.
- Consultative Selling: Conduct facility walkthroughs, assess cleaning and sanitation needs, present tailored solutions, negotiate pricing, overcome objections, and close contracts.
- Pipeline Management: Build and maintain a strong sales pipeline while meeting monthly, quarterly, and annual revenue targets.
- CRM & Reporting: Track prospecting activity, follow-ups, opportunities, and forecasts using CRM and sales tools.
- Client Onboarding: Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure a smooth handoff after contracts are signed.
This role focuses exclusively on acquiring new customers—not ongoing account management or maintaining existing accounts.
Qualifications
- Proven success in hunter-style B2B sales, outbound prospecting, and closing new business.
- Alternatively, 2 years of leadership or management experience in high-volume restaurants, premium hotels, private clubs, or resorts, with a strong hospitality network.
- Established relationships with hospitality decision-makers and the ability to convert industry connections into new business.
- Commercial cleaning, facility services, uniform services, or other B2B service-sales experience is a plus.
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and objection-handling skills.
- Self-motivated, resilient, competitive, and comfortable with rejection and ambitious sales targets.
- Willingness to spend significant time on the road, walking territories, and conducting face-to-face cold visits.
- Comfortable using CRM systems and maintaining an organized sales pipeline.
- Familiarity with the NYC Metro hospitality market is highly desirable.
