Housekeeper Job Description
Position Summary
We are seeking a dependable, detail-oriented Housekeeper to maintain the cleanliness, appearance, and overall guest experience of our restaurant and brewery-inspired venue. The Housekeeper is responsible for ensuring all public areas, restrooms, dining spaces, and back-of-house areas are kept clean, sanitized, and presentable at all times. This role plays a critical part in creating a welcoming environment for guests and supporting a safe workplace for team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Clean and sanitize dining rooms, host stands, waiting areas, bars, patios, and common areas.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of all public and employee restrooms.
- Sweep, mop, vacuum, and maintain floors throughout the facility.
- Empty trash and recycling receptacles and replace liners as needed.
- Clean windows, doors, walls, light fixtures, and other surfaces.
- Sanitize high-touch areas regularly in accordance with company and health department standards.
- Maintain employee break rooms, offices, and back-of-house areas.
- Assist with setup and breakdown of special events and private functions as needed.
- Monitor cleaning supply inventory and notify management when supplies need replenishment.
- Report maintenance concerns, safety hazards, or equipment issues promptly.
- Follow all company safety procedures and sanitation guidelines.
- Support restaurant operations by maintaining a clean and organized environment during and after business hours.
Qualifications
- Previous housekeeping, janitorial, or cleaning experience preferred but not required.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable attendance and punctuality.
- Ability to follow instructions and maintain high standards.
- Positive attitude and teamwork mentality.
- Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and lift throughout the shift.
- Ability to push, pull, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Ability to work in indoor and outdoor environments, including varying temperatures.
- Ability to safely use cleaning chemicals and equipment.
