Duties
- Oversee inventory control, ordering supplies, and managing food production to minimize waste and optimize profitability.
- Participate in staff training and development initiatives to enhance team skills in food service management, customer service, and food safety practices.
- Handle POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for order processing, cash handling, and sales reconciliation.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, including food safety standards and sanitation protocols.
- Foster a positive work environment by supervising staff performance, conducting interviews, and supporting team motivation.
- Coordinate with directors to insure financial statements, sales reports, and performance data are recorded correctly.
- Address customer concerns promptly to guarantee a memorable dining experience that encourages repeat visits.
- Implement policies and procedures in conjunction with the management group.
- Perform personnel functions, such as selection, training, or evaluation.
- Execute in-house event and marketing functions.
Qualifications
- Five or more years of industry experience. At least two of those years in restaurant management.
- Strong background in restaurant or bar management.
- Familiarity with POS systems such as Aloha POS or Micros POS; experience with cash handling is essential.
- Knowledge of food safety standards, sanitation procedures, and health regulations.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to train and develop staff effectively.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on creating positive guest experiences.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail.
- Experience with inventory control, budgeting, and cost management within the food industry is highly desirable.
