We are seeking a highly motivated, goal-driven professional who excels in both independent and collaborative environments. JOB DESCRIPTION:

REPORTING STRUCTURE AND LOCATION

This is a full-time on-site position reporting directly to the Executive Director and located at the RFMA headquarters in Frisco, Texas.


IDEAL EXPERIENCES & CHARACTERISTICS

  • Previous multi-unit building management experience in the restaurant facility management industry.
  • Bachelor’s Degree, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field with five years’ experience or eight years’ experience in Facility/Project Management at a restaurant company.
  • Strong goal setting and project management skills.
  • Proven technology skills and strong MS Office capability. Ability to learn and use other programs and technology resources including databases, social media, information search and retrieval and e-mail.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work collaboratively and effectively with a broad range of individuals and groups.
  • Demonstrated ability to write clearly and concisely with correct grammar, spelling and punctuation; verbally communicate in an accurate and effective manner. Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational skills with ability to respond to changing needs and priorities, shift attention among simultaneous activities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Self-starter who has ability to work independently.
  • Sound judgment in determining when to escalate issues.
  • An individual who can manage competing priorities, and maintain a great sense of humor.
  • A collaborator who thrives in a dynamic work environment.


RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE

  • Provide guidance and serve as a resource and subject matter expert in restaurant facilities to the RFMA staff and RFMA membership.
  • Stay current on new trends and innovation in restaurant facilities to support RFMA resources and programming.
  • Collaborate with the education department to curate educational content for regional events, webinars and conference curriculum.
  • Collaborate with education department to develop and manage Restaurant Roundtable sessions at RFMA's Annual Conference.
  • Manage facilitator(s)/moderator(s) and programming for virtual Restaurant Roundtables and Peer to Partner calls. Assist facilitator(s)/moderator(s) when needed and provide call notes to the participants recapping the calls.
  • Collaborate with RFMA team to develop targeted marketing and retention programs to help attain strategic objectives for member retention and membership growth.
  • Staff liaison to the Resources & Trends Committee.
  • Lead development strategies to create online resources that will benefit restaurant and vendor members.
  • Provide relevant and timely restaurant facilities content and resources to RFMA members through blogs and social media.
  • Manage the process of soliciting Facilitator’s editorial content including receiving and following up with potential contributors.
  • Serves as one of the staff liaisons to the Editorial Board.
  • Staff liaison to RFMA Gives Steering Committee.
  • Create a timeline annually to select a qualifying non-profit partner (RFMA Gives project) in the city of RFMA's Annual Conference.
  • Manage all aspects of annual RFMA Gives project from RFP to completion including candidate selection, scope of work, budget development and solicitation of project needs including labor and materials.
  • Plan, manage and coordinate yearly RFMA Gives Volunteer Day event with RFMA staff.
  • Oversee general contractor(s) and project manager(s) to ensure project is completed and deadlines are met. Report progress to RFMA Gives Steering Committee and Executive Director.


TRAVEL

Travel is required i.e., RFMA Annual Conference, Fall Board of Directors Meeting, Scouting and plannings trips for philanthropic project (RFMA Gives) and some regional member events.


PERSONAL DEVELOPMENT

  • Keep current with Industry trends & new technologies in facilities management.
  • Work closely with the Executive Director and staff to learn about the association management industry to enhance personal and professional development.
  • Be accountable and a driver of your own personal and professional development.
  • Participate in relevant training classes, seminars, trade meetings, and conventions relevant to both the association and facility management industries.
  • Achieve CRFP designation within first year of employment.


SALARY DETAILS

Our organization provides a full compensation package that includes annual bonus opportunity, medical, dental, vision, long and short-term disability coverage and 401(k). Salary is based on your professional experience and is negotiable.
