Responsibilities
- Operate POS (Point of Sale) systems accurately to process sales, returns, and exchanges.
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with product inquiries, product demos, and store navigation.
- Handle cash, credit card transactions, and other payment methods with precision and integrity.
- Maintain organized merchandising displays and restock shelves as needed to ensure products are appealing and accessible.
- Support upselling efforts by recommending additional products or promotions to enhance customer experience.
- Provide exceptional customer service by addressing questions politely and resolving issues promptly.
- Assist with stocking, inventory management, and ensuring the store remains clean and inviting.
Requirements
- Previous cashiering or retail sales experience is preferred but not mandatory; enthusiasm to learn is key!
- Strong communication skills, including phone etiquette and active listening abilities.
- Bilingual skills are a plus to better serve diverse customer bases.
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately and performing retail math calculations.
- Experience with POS systems or familiarity with grocery store operations is advantageous.
- Supervising experience in retail or customer service roles is a bonus but not required.
