Duties
- Greet customers promptly and professionally, establishing rapport and understanding their vehicle concerns
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify necessary services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid top-offs, and basic maintenance
- Explain recommended services clearly and confidently, emphasizing benefits and value through upselling opportunities
- Utilize estimating software to prepare accurate service estimates and communicate options effectively to customers
- Coordinate with technicians to ensure timely completion of services while maintaining high-quality standards
- Manage cash handling transactions accurately and efficiently during the service process
- Document all work performed in the dealership’s service management system, including detailed descriptions of repairs and recommendations
Requirements
- Previous experience as a Service Advisor or in auto service management is highly preferred
- Mechanical knowledge of automotive systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension, air conditioning, diesel engines, shocks & struts, alignments, and tire services
- Strong customer service skills with excellent communication abilities to explain technical information clearly
- Ability to upsell additional services by identifying customer needs and explaining benefits effectively
- Dealership experience or collision repair background is a plus but not required
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to drive various vehicle types safely
- Basic understanding of automotive diagnostics and repair procedures is advantageous
