What You'll Do

As a Catering & Food Truck Assistant, your day will be full of variety and excitement. Here’s what you can expect:

• Event Setup & Teardown: Load and unload catering vans or food trucks, assemble serving lines, and set up tables and equipment at event sites.
• Food Preparation & Assembly: Help with basic kitchen prep like chopping, portioning sides, pulling meats, and packing orders, all while following food safety guidelines.
• Customer Service: Greet guests with a smile, take orders, assemble plates, and handle basic cash or POS transactions on the truck or at catering stations.
• Cleanliness & Sanitation: Keep prep surfaces, dishwashing stations, and service areas spotless throughout your shift, ensuring compliance with health standards.
• Inventory & Maintenance: Monitor food and supply levels during service, restock as needed, and clean and pack up equipment after events.

What We're Looking For

We’re seeking someone who’s ready to roll up their sleeves and dive into the world of barbecue. Here’s what you’ll need to succeed:

• Age & Availability: Must be 18 years old with reliable transportation to our prep kitchen and event sites. Flexible availability on weekends and evenings is required.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to stand, walk, bend, and lift up to 40–50 lbs continuously during a shift in both indoor and outdoor settings.
• Food Safety Knowledge: Familiarity with basic food safety practices is a must (ServSafe certification is a bonus, but not required).
• Skills & Attitude: Strong communication skills, a team-first mentality, and the ability to stay calm under pressure in warm outdoor or food truck environments.
• Experience: Previous experience in food service, hospitality, or customer service is preferred, but we’re happy to train the right person!
