What You Will Do
As a Litigation Paralegal, you will work closely with our in-house legal team and attorneys as we grow our Ligation department, located in Plantation, Florida.
- Assisting in case management; including motion and discovery practice.
- Draft correspondence, memoranda, and basic documents related to the substance of a case or transaction for internal and external use.
- Coordinate and conduct routine document reviews, including document organization, and assist the attorney in preparation of discovery and for trial.
- Independently complete a variety of assignments, based on cases or transactions; track and ensure deadlines are met in a timely fashion; submit and follow up on docket items.
- Assist with securing expert witness services and coordination of related information.
- Perform other tasks as assigned.
Requirements
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience, insurance defense preferred
- Knowledge of State Court Filing systems including E-Portal, Court Maps, etc.
- Exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical thinking skills.
