We have an immediate need for a EH&S Specialist with a BCSP certification and 5-7 years of experience as an Industrial Safety Specialist with RC14001 audit experience for a 6 month project at Westlake Refinery in Westlake, LA.
Compensation: $50 an hour, per diem $178 a day
The EH&S Specialist supports the site’s compliance and continuous improvement efforts by leading procedure analysis, regulatory gap assessments, and alignment with Responsible Care® 14001 Audit Standards and OSHA standards.
· Conduct formal gap analyses against RC14001 and applicable OSHA regulations
· Review, evaluate, and revise safety procedures to ensure regulatory alignment
· Assess field execution against documented programs and identify inconsistencies
· Support internal audits and RC14001 management system reviews

· Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, including 29 CFR 1910
· Demonstrated understanding of Responsible Care® 14001 management systems
· Ability to interpret regulatory language and translate it into executable procedures

· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and compliance tracking systems
· Work Experience:
o Minimum 5 to 7 years of industrial safety, compliance, or management system experience
o Experience in petrochemical, chemical manufacturing, refining, or heavy industrial environments preferred
o Demonstrated experience with RC14001 implementation or audit support
o Board of Certified Safety Professionals (BCSP) certification, or similar credential preferred
o RC14001 auditor training or management system certification preferred
