Job Summary

Responsibilities
- Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation.
- Support clients with Instrumental Activities of Daily Living (IADLs), including light housekeeping, laundry, grocery shopping, and transportation to appointments.
- Provide personal care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Monitor client health by taking vital signs and reporting changes in physical or emotional condition.
- Implement Individualized Services Plans (ISPs) as directed and maintain accurate documentation of client progress.
- Assist with medication administration according to guidelines while following HIPAA regulations.
- Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote community involvement and quality of life.
- Provide emotional support and companionship while encouraging independence and self-sufficiency.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to meet the unique needs of each client.
Skills
- First aid and CPR certification is preferred.
- Experience working in group homes or assisted living settings is highly desirable.
- Strong patient observation skills to monitor changes in client behavior or health status effectively.
- Experience in caregiving or home health care for seniors or individuals with disabilities.
- Familiarity with medication administration protocols and care plan development.
- Excellent communication skills for interacting with clients, families, and healthcare professionals.
- Compassionate approach towards working with people with developmental disabilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while demonstrating patience and empathy. This role requires dedication to enhancing the lives of those we serve through compassionate support and professional care practices.
