What we are looking for:
We are seeking a dedicated, reliable and engaged Child Care Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for working with children and teens with disabilities and providing a safe, engaging environment for their development.
Key Responsibilities:
- Engaging and actively supervising children with developmental disabilities ages 6 weeks - 18 years
- Leading child care activities
- Learning to support each child's individual needs and provide basic care following toileting routines, feeding techniques, dietary needs and medication needs
- Charting and maintaining child care records
- Providing behavior management and support
- Communicating professionally and effectively with parents daily
- Completing household duties, including cleaning up after mealtimes, laundry, vacuuming, and others to maintain a clean and safe environment
- Maintaining confidentiality
- Administering medications (after minimum of 3 months employment and completion of required trainings)
- Completing all necessary trainings upon hire and annually
- Other duties as assigned
