Job Description
As an early career water/wastewater engineer you collaborate with experienced engineers on innovative water and wastewater projects that improve essential infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include assisting in the design of treatment facilities, pipelines, and pumping stations as well as preparing calculations, drawings, and technical reports that support real-world solutions. You will support fieldwork through site visits and constructions observation and learn about environmental and regulatory standards that apply to water and wastewater design. You will gain hands on experience with industry software such as GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D and hydraulic modeling tools.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise, typical salary range for this position in California is $72k-80k, DOEQ. Compensation includes a comprehensive fringe-benefits package. RESPEC is a 100% employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.

Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in civil engineering, environmental engineering, or a related engineering field from an ABET accredited program
- Engineer-In-Training certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
- Passion for water and wastewater systems and sustainability
- Basic software knowledge (e.g., Excel, Word)
- Must possess a valid driver's license and maintain a clean driving record; position requires operating a company or personal vehicle during work hours for business-related travel
