What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanical Designer position at ResourceTek, LLC?
We are currently looking for a contract Mechanical Designer with Inventor 3D experience in a manufacturing environment to support our client, a leading manufacturer of steel products in Blytheville, AR. Our client is experiencing rapid growth and investing in large capital expansion and improvement projects. This is a long term, multi-year assignment supporting an on-going engineering and construction support services contract.
In this role, you would work as part of a team of drafters, designers, and engineers responsible for the design of new industrial facilities and equipment. In this position, you will be responsible for both the design and execution of various small and large capital projects. This includes "hands-on" design of various equipment, machines, and industrial facilities. Must be knowledgeable and proficient in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor and/or Solidworks to be successful in this role.
Job Requirements
- Must have experience in the design of heavy industrial equipment including Table Runners and Kickers, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes, motors, shafts, heat transfer, drive systems, etc.
- Experience in the design of equipment for metal forming and/or other heavy equipment is beneficial.
- Perform field measurements onsite.
- Convert drawings from 2D to 3D.
- Previous experience working in engineering companies or similar industries such as manufacturing facilities is required.
- Must be knowledgeable in AutoCAD and 3D Inventor and/or Solidworks software.
- Candidate must have the ability to work on various projects at one time and to coordinate with multiple vendors, contractors, engineers, and designers.
