Independent Living Specialist
The Independent Living Specialist (ILS) supports the mission of the Center for Independent Living by assisting people with disabilities to achieve greater independence, self-determination, and community inclusion. The ILS works directly with consumers to identify goals, develop independent living plans, and access the resources needed to live as independently as possible.
This position embodies the Independent Living Philosophy — emphasizing consumer control, peer support, advocacy, and equal access for all.
- Full-time, typically Monday–Friday, with occasional evening or weekend activities.
- Combination of office-based, community-based, and remote work as appropriate.
- Local travel required; valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour
