About the Role/What You’ll Do
As a Receiving Specialist, you will be the first point of contact welcoming donors, receiving and processing donated goods, and ensuring a positive donation experience, while supporting the efficient flow of materials through our store. This position serves in a fast-paced, outdoor, drive-through environment, and is a physically demanding role involving frequent lifting, carrying, bending, and standing for extended periods.
- Support the Receiving Lead and store management team in managing the daily flow of donations.
- Receive, unload, and load donations from vehicles, including lifting and moving heavy items
- Follow donation guidelines and assess incoming items.
- Help maximize reuse and recycling opportunities while reducing landfill waste.
- Deliver exceptional customer service to donors.
- Support and promote ReSOURCE’s mission in every interaction.
Qualifications & Work Environment
- Self-motivated, positive attitude, able to work as part of a team
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work outdoors in varied weather conditions
- Frequent lifting and carrying of items up to 50 lbs (more on occasion)
- Standing, walking, bending, and twisting for extended periods
- Repetitive lifting throughout the workday in a fast-paced environment
- Maintain reliable attendance
- Be available to work Saturday
- Fast-paced, high-volume intake environment
- Requires physical stamina and attention to safety
Note: This role is not sedentary and is designed for candidates comfortable with repeated heavy lifting and active movement throughout the day.
Schedule & Location
Positions Available: Full-time and part-time
Schedule: Must be available to work on Saturdays
Store Hours: Monday–Saturday, 9AM - 6PM, closed Sundays
Location: Barre Store
Starting Pay: $17.00 per hour
