Job Summary:
The Medical Assembler is responsible for assembling, testing, and inspecting medical device components and products in accordance with manufacturing instructions, safety policies, and quality standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to GMP and cleanroom procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Follow all safety and quality procedures in compliance with company policies and GMP standards.
- Read and interpret work orders, blueprints, and diagrams to determine assembly specifications.
- Assemble, wire, and connect parts or subassemblies using hand tools, power tools, and fixtures.
- Inspect components and completed units for accuracy, functionality, and quality compliance.
- Record production data, complete documentation, and report deviations or equipment issues.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area and ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Support process improvements and assist team members as needed.
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 0–2 years of assembly or manufacturing experience (medical device industry preferred).
- Ability to read and follow work instructions, diagrams, and part numbers.
- Proficiency using basic hand tools and measuring instruments.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs and perform repetitive tasks while standing for long periods.
- Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems.
- Previous experience in a regulated or cleanroom environment.
- DIY or mechanical project experience a plus.
Job Type: Contract
Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
