RMC is seeking a Senior Systems Engineer to support a Department of the Navy (DoN) customer at Patuxent River, MD. The successful candidate will lead systems engineering efforts in planning, designing, and integrating tools, engines, machines, and sensors for mechanically functioning equipment and platforms.
This position involves advanced systems engineering direction across the design, development, integration, interface analysis, installation, fielding, operation, maintenance, and testing of information and sensor processing systems for manned and unmanned airborne, shipborne, fixed, and mobile platforms.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and oversee engineering activities supporting system design, integration, and performance optimization.
- Develop and apply systems engineering processes for sensor technologies and related systems.
- Conduct interface analysis and system architecture assessments to ensure seamless integration.
- Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage project milestones and deliverables.
- Provide training on system operations, maintenance, and integration to enhance team proficiency.
- Support mission readiness through technical documentation, troubleshooting, and system validation.
Required Qualifications:
- Active Top Secret Security Clearance is required.
- Master’s degree in an Engineering discipline.
- Minimum of 10 years of professional systems engineering experience.
- At least 5 years of experience in sensor technologies and systems within the Department of Defense (DoD).
- Proven experience leading teams on complex projects supporting DoD platforms and mission systems.

Salary at RMC is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, a candidate's specific combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific requirements. The current salary range for this position will be $175,000 to $215,000 (annually).
