What You’ll Do
- Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS)
- Lead and promote a strong safety culture across all shifts and departments
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and local regulatory requirements
- Develop, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and training programs
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and Gemba walks
- Investigate incidents, near misses, and unsafe conditions; perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Maintain SDS compliance and hazard communication programs
- Track and report safety KPIs (recordables, near misses, safety observations)
- Coordinate emergency response plans, drills, and safety committees
- Continuous Improvement (CI)
- Drive Lean Manufacturing initiatives (5S, Kaizen, Standard Work, Visual Management, Heijunka)
- Identify process inefficiencies and lead improvement projects to increase productivity and reduce waste
- Facilitate root cause analysis (5 Whys, Fishbone, A3 problem solving) for quality and operational issues
- Partner with cross-functional teams to improve quality, delivery, and cost performance
- Develop and maintain KPIs and dashboards to monitor performance
- Lead training and coaching for supervisors and operators on CI tools and methodologies
- Support cost reduction initiatives (scrap reduction, labor efficiency, process optimization)
- Production Planning
- Develop and manage daily and weekly production schedules based on demand, capacity, and material availability
- Ensure on-time delivery performance (standard and rush orders)
- Coordinate with Purchasing, Prepress, and Manufacturing to align supply and demand
- Monitor WIP levels, inventory turns, and Kanban systems
- Adjust schedules in real-time to address machine downtime, labor constraints, or priority changes
- Analyze capacity and recommend improvements to meet forecasted demand
- Support planning for peak periods and contingency planning
- Safety: Zero recordable incidents
- Quality: Reduction in defects and customer claims
- Delivery: On-Time to Promise ≥ 99.5% (All Products), ≥ 98% (Rush)
- Cost: Reduction in scrap, labor %, and operational waste
- Inventory: Improved inventory turns and reduced excess/obsolete stock
- CI: Number and impact of improvement initiatives implemented
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Operations, Environmental Health & Safety, or related field (preferred)
- 3–5 years of experience in manufacturing, EHS, CI, or production planning
- Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety systems
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing and continuous improvement tools
- Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and production scheduling

- Compensation Range: $75,000 - $85,000 annually
- This range reflects the base pay we reasonably expect to offer for this role. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, skills, and internal equity.
- Annual Bonus: Eligible for an annual bonus, which is discretionary and based on company performance.
