We are currently recruiting for a 1st Shift Quality Technician to join our team! The 1st Shift Quality Technician is responsible for ensuring that products meet pre-determined quality standards through inspections, testing, and data collection. This position reports to the Plant Manager.
Pay Rate: $22.00-$24.00/hour
Schedule: 1st shift, Monday-Friday, either 7:00AM-3:30PM or 8:00AM-4:30PM, with occasional overtime
Responsibilities
Conduct routine quality control and testing per customer specifications
Conduct testing and collect production performance data to in an effort to support non-routine quality checks
Assist with Return Material Authorization (RMA) investigations when products are considered as non-conforming, as well as implementing continuous improvement initiatives
Update RMA's in company's ERP system when requested
Attend meetings and trainings when necessary to support quality control activities and initiatives
Complete required paperwork as needed
Work safely, and keep work areas clear, and organized; maintains housekeeping standards
Perform other duties as requested
Key Characteristics We Are Looking For
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or equivalent combination of education and experience or 3 to 5 years of related work experience
Quality experience in the manufacturing industry is a plus
Business correspondence and interpersonal skills, as well as computer skills
Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions and decimals
Ability to read and interpret ruler, scales and other measurement devices
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Work Environment

Is occasionally exposed to chemicals, some of which could be hazardous
Noise level is usually moderate
