We are seeking a detail-oriented and tech-savvy Part-Time Meter Programming Technician to join our team. This hands-on, in-office role involves programming and wiring meters, installing transmitters, scanning equipment into tracking systems, and preparing devices for shipment.

This position is ideal for someone who is comfortable working with tools, has strong Excel skills, and enjoys a combination of light technical assembly and system documentation. Training will be provided on our specific meter programming and transmitter installation processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Program and configure utility meters and related equipment
  • Install transmitters onto meters using basic hand tools (e.g., screwdriver)
  • Scan equipment into tracking and programming spreadsheets
  • Maintain accurate records in Excel and internal systems
  • Package programmed meters and equipment for shipment
  • Perform quality checks to ensure accuracy and functionality
  • Ordering meters and other equipment
  • Inventorying the equipment
  • Receiving freight deliveries which includes lifting up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (data entry, spreadsheets, tracking)
  • Ability to use basic hand tools and perform light assembly
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Reliable, self-motivated, and able to work independently

Preferred (Not Required)

  • Experience with technical assembly or wiring
  • Previous experience in data entry, inventory tracking, or equipment programming

Schedule

  • Part-time (hours to be discussed)
  • In-office position

Salary : $20 - $25
