What are the responsibilities and job description for the Marketing Specialist (Digital & Campaigns) position at Resource Area for Teaching?
RAFT is looking for a multi-talented Marketing Specialist who can think strategically and bring ideas to life.
This is a hands-on role where you’ll partner closely with our Marketing & Communications Manager and report to the Director of Strategic Growth. From shaping ideas to executing campaigns, you’ll be involved every step of the way. That includes writing copy, building and launching campaigns, managing SEO, supporting our website, tracking performance, and using insights to continuously improve.
We’re less focused on impressive job titles and more interested in how you think and work. We’re looking for someone who is curious, resourceful, and proactive, someone who learns quickly, uses AI tools as a natural part of their workflow, and is excited about making an impact through STEAM education.

Online Campaigns, Social Media & Video
- Plan and execute end-to-end digital campaigns that drive awareness, engagement, and revenue
- Define goals, target audiences, and channel strategy, then measure and optimize performance

Creative Writing & GTM Content
- Develop clear, compelling content across the full funnel, including emails, landing pages, social, and campaigns
- Translate ideas into effective messaging without requiring detailed direction
- Build and manage email campaigns end-to-end (segmentation, setup, scheduling, reporting)
- Ensure content aligns with audience, channel, and stage of the journey
BD & Sales Enablement Support
- Partner with Business Development to create content that supports pipeline growth and conversions
- Develop materials such as email sequences, one-pagers, partner assets, and event content
- Align marketing efforts to revenue, partnerships, and mission impact
Cross-Team Marketing Support
- Collaborate across departments (Education, Development, Store, Operations) to support campaigns and initiatives
- Create a variety of marketing assets, including flyers, emails, and event materials
- Contribute where needed in a hands-on, collaborative environment
What We're Looking For
- 2-4 years of hands-on experience in digital marketing - campaigns, content, SEO, or a combination. Show us work, not just a resume.
- Solid understanding of SEO fundamentals applied in practice - keyword research, on-page optimization, GA4, Google Search Console. The more hands-on experience, the better.
- Understands how websites work - site structure, page hierarchy, CMS operations in WordPress or equivalent. Enough knowledge to contribute meaningfully to the website project and collaborate effectively with the team.
- Strong writing ability - clear, purposeful, audience-aware. You write for results, not for applause.
- Video production at both levels: short-form social content and higher-quality brand video. Portfolio or examples required.
- Working knowledge of Growth-to-Market fundamentals - buyer journey, funnel stages, how marketing and BD connect.
- Highly proficient with AI tools and genuinely excited to keep up as they evolve. You do not wait to be trained on new tools, you explore them yourself. AI is how you work, not something you use occasionally.
- Familiar with social media platforms and how to build a content strategy, not just a posting schedule.
- Experience with building and deploying email campaigns in MailChimp or equivalent.

- Results-driven and focused on what actually works
