What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mechanic I (Laborer) position at Resorts World Hudson Valley?
Essential Functions
- Perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in projects.
- Maintain a clean job site: pick up all tools and equipment and secure job site each day in order to eliminate potential hazards.
- Material handling and storage.
- Load and unload trucks and haul and hoist materials.
- Ensure that proper safety and incident reporting procedures are followed.
- Ability to follow established safety rules and regulations.
- Ability to use different equipment, hand and power tools, to complete job tasks.
- Assist other trades, knowledge of power tools.
- Ability to work independently or as a team to complete job tasks.
- Assist with minor snow removal.

Essential Requirements:
- Ability to work independently and complete daily activities according to work schedule.
- Ability to lift heavy objects, walk and stand for long periods of time and perform strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions.

- Ability to use equipment and tools properly and safely.
- Must be able to lift, push, pull or carry objects, use abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue

- Work is performed indoors and outdoors in a resort casino environment in all weather conditions.
- Must be able to stand, walk, and move through all areas of the resort casino
- Must be able to work under pressure in a fast-paced, 24-hour casino environment and effectively deal with guests, colleagues, team members, vendors and members of the business community in all situations
- Must be able to push, lift and carry up to 50 pounds
Other Skills/Abilities:
Must be able to work flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays as required
Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English
Must be able to respond to visual and oral cues
