Environmental Services (EVS) Supervisor
Resorts at Chester River Manor is seeking a dedicated, organized, and motivated
Environmental Services Supervisor to lead our housekeeping and laundry operations. The EVS Supervisor plays a vital role in maintaining a clean, safe, and comfortable environment for our residents, visitors, and staff while ensuring compliance with all applicable healthcare regulations and infection control standards.
Position Summary
The Environmental Services Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the Environmental Services Department, including housekeeping, laundry services, floor care, and environmental sanitation. The Supervisor will ensure that all areas of the facility are maintained to the highest standards of cleanliness and safety while providing leadership, training, and support to EVS team members.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping, laundry, and floor care operations.
Schedule, assign, and monitor staff duties to ensure adequate coverage and completion of assigned tasks.
Conduct routine inspections of resident rooms, common areas, and facility grounds to ensure cleanliness and regulatory compliance.
Train, mentor, and evaluate Environmental Services staff.
Ensure adherence to infection prevention and control practices.
Maintain inventory of housekeeping and laundry supplies and submit orders as needed.
Monitor proper use of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and personal protective equipment (PPE).
Investigate and address resident, family, and staff concerns regarding environmental services.
Participate in Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement (QAPI) initiatives.
Maintain department records and documentation as required.
Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and facility policies and procedures.
Assist with emergency preparedness and response activities as needed.
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required.
Previous supervisory experience in housekeeping, environmental services, hospitality, healthcare, or long-term care preferred.
Knowledge of cleaning procedures, infection control practices, and safety standards.
Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple responsibilities.
Must be dependable, professional, and resident-focused.
Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry equipment and supplies as required.
